I’m writing this while sitting at the top of the Mezzanine of House of Blues as Los Lonely Boys is on their 4th song of their annual Houston stop. My mother took me to my first LLB show in 2022 right after a harsh breakup. This was when I first found enjoyment in what the band had to offer despite already hearing songs such as "Heaven" & "Sensual".
Honorable mention to longtime legends in Del Castillo as well. They have been rocking the stage for over two decades so it only makes sense they released a new single (ironically) called "Resurrection". In their 25th year of being a band, this was my first time seeing the Austin based band, and I was far from disappointed. Similar to Los Lonely Boys, the singer is backed by brothers Mark and Rick Del Castillo on guitar.

Shortly after 9pm Los Lonely Boys kicked off their set with “I'm A Man”. Playing hits such as "Crazy Dream" throughout the night, the crowd was ready for every second the Garza brothers on the main stage of the House of Blues. The venue carried all generations around throughout the night, it’s no wonder why the trio continues to bring back great yearly performances to the city.
Seeing them now third year in a row, I was able to secure all the media you see here today. “Blame It on Love” was one of the first songs that caught my ear as a newer fan so I was glad to hear a mix of the old and new songs by the band.

After almost 30 years of being a band, everything still sounds almost better than it ever has. Cosigned by acts such as Carlos Santana and Willie Nelson, the San Angelo brothers, Ringo (drums), Jojo (Bass) and Henry (Guitar) stole the crowds love & energy early on in the set. Cracking jokes in between sets and engaging with the crowd with questions about “are you happy to be alive?”. A bold but warm welcoming atmosphere that is well needed in a changing world.
Just last year, Los Lonely Boys released their first studio record in 10 years on August, 2nd titled "Resurrection". The album contained singles "See Your Face", "Send More Love", "Dance With Me" & "Wish You Would" as well as songs that have been in the works for several years such as "Natural Thing".

Being in the shadows from releasing new material in the industry hasn't stopped the Garza's from travelling the world and putting on the best shows known to man. I am now holding on hope to see them again next year in the same spot and time frame that I have for the last 3 years. With that I also hope to see some new fans from all ages and backgrounds from Houston for more Los Lonely Boy shows.
Expect to possibly see more dates announced later this year alongside to the headlining performances by the band. See them also on select Co-headline shows with Los Lobos.
